    I had a friend who I felt very badly for, who had this same thing happen to him.  It felt as if this girl would castriate him in front of a group of friends.  

    I can tell you, a grew to dislike her becuase of this.  I felt she was a bitch with him, and particularly, very cold.  

    The only insight that I can relate, is that they have outlasted every single relationship of our entire circle of friends; and I can only assume that although she may be very cold in public with him, he loves her for being a intelligent, hardworking woman, who won't stand for b.s.  

    Hopefully, and this I'm certain of, she must be a kitten with him once they are at home, and she allows her gaurd to drop.  For a long time I disliked her, but she now has my true respect and admiration.
